The Dates Festival kicked off at Souq Al-Baraha on August 9th and continued until the end of September. The festival aimed to promote the culture of palm tree cultivation and date production, as well as to highlight Bahrain's rich cultural heritage in traditional palm-based handicrafts. It combined entertainment and commercial activities.

The festival saw extensive participation from local farmers, small home-based businesses, and artisans specializing in traditional palm-related handicrafts. Art workshops on palm frond painting and decoupage were also organized. The festival was an ideal destination for families, and visitors enjoyed a unique experience.
